THE UNIVERSE IS THE STAGE ON WHICH YOU RIDE, GUIDED BY YOUR HEART.

The roots of this club are in the two families that have formed it: The Negleys and the Askins. Richard Van Wyck Negley was one of the founders of The San Antonio Polo Club in 1920. And more recently, the Askins have played for the past four decades. Major Charles Askins playing polo in the Philippines at the turn of the 20th century, his grandson William Askins playing 55 years both locally at Retama, and internationally in Nicaragua and Argentina. Now he is joined by his grandson, Lieutenant Rowan Neidinger, who is a member of the US Armed Forces Team.
